Principal's Message

Welcome to Canfield High School!

    As a proud Canfield High School alumnus, I am incredibly honored to serve as principal of the school that played such an important role in shaping who I am today. C.H.S. has a rich tradition of excellence and a community that is deeply invested in the success of its students.

  I earned an undergraduate degree in Integrated Science from the University of Akron, followed by master's degrees in Educational Technology and Educational Administration. My career has included teaching science at Kenston High School, serving as an AP Biology teacher here at Canfield High School, and most recently serving as principal of Austintown Fitch High School.

  These experiences have reinforced my belief that strong relationships, high expectations, and meaningful opportunities are the foundation of student success.

  Canfield High School continues to set the standard for academic excellence. Our students consistently excel in the classroom, on the stage, in athletic competition, and through service to others. Last year, our school received an overall 4.5-Star rating on the Ohio School Report Card and was once again ranked among the top high schools in Ohio by U.S. News & World Report.

  Our students thrive in Advanced Placement and College Credit Plus courses, Speech and Debate, Fine Arts, athletics, and extracurricular activities, and demonstrate what it means to be leaders both inside and outside the classroom.

  What makes Canfield High School truly exceptional, however, is not just the awards and accolades; it's the people. Our dedicated teachers and staff are committed to helping every student reach their fullest potential. Our families are engaged and supportive, and our students embrace the values of hard work, integrity, and service that define the Cardinal tradition.

  As principal, I am excited to build upon that tradition while preparing our students for the opportunities and challenges of tomorrow. Together, we will continue fostering a culture of academic excellence, innovation, belonging, and school pride, ensuring every student graduates ready to succeed in college, careers, and life.
